Interoperability is not just a technical requirement – it is a strategic enabler for the energy transition. It allows:
Consumers to access and control their energy data, compare offers, and participate in demand response programmes
Service providers to innovate and offer new digital energy services
System operators to manage the grid more efficiently and integrate renewable energy sources
Decision-makers and regulators to design effective policies, ensure fair market conditions, and support a unified European energy market
To facilitate the development of interoperability requirements, the JWG in data interoperability also provides assistance in the development of interoperability models such as the Harmonised Energy Market Role Model via the operations of its Task Force 3. The JWG, through TF3, also uses this site to present its results.
Maintenance Requests
Maintenance requests should be submitted to the Joint Working Group (TF3) to request changes related to implementation guides, roles and CIM objects.
