Repository of National Practices

The reference model set out by each one of the Implementing Acts on Data Interoperability describes workflows that are required for specific services and processes based on a minimum set of requirements to ensure that a given procedure can run correctly, while allowing for national customisation. The reference model is composed of (i) a ‘role model’ with a set of roles/responsibilities and their interactions; (ii) an ‘information model’ that contains information objects, their attributes, and the relationships between these objects; and (iii) a ‘process model’ detailing the procedural steps.

The reference model is technology-neutral and not directly tied to any specific implementation details. Member States may choose how to implement interoperability requirements in their national system reflecting national practices, regarding aspects linked to the communication and physical structure in the country.

As mandated under Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1162 of 6 June 2023, the repository of national practices is established and made publicly available so as to ensure transparency and provide clarity on applicable rules throughout Member States.

Disclaimer: The data in this repository will be made available once it has been submitted by the Member States to the European Commission and officially transmitted to the Joint Working Group (JWG).
